SSC – The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

Apologies & Re-Resolutions

Well, so much for my new year’s resolution to post more!

Long story short – I’ve been sick and depressed.

Long story long – My medications are half-working and half-failing at their jobs. I’ve also moved, which took a lot more out of me than I thought it would. Etcetera on the excuses.

Anyway, I thought I’d try something new here. One of the things I end up doing when I’m REALLY ill is watch movies. But sometimes even a long-time favorite can be hard to watch when you’re nauseous, or when you have to run to the bathroom every five seconds.

For that, I’m starting a new section on this blog called “Sick Stomach Cinema.” Here, I will link you to a live-tweet of whatever movie I have selected for the day. It will detail moments that made me sick(er) as well as any thoughts that come to mind. I’ll follow it up with a review of the movie from an ill person’s point of view.

Note: I will not be giving it an in-depth review or remarking about anything other than how well I made it through the movie. It’s for fun and for a new perspective on movies. Also, this should be obvious, but spoilers will be everywhere.

Will I take requests? Sure! Why not? I think that this is something I can do even when I feel I’m at my lowest point. In fact, I think it will make the experience better or infinitely worse!

Also, this will be my first time “tweeting” so that should make for a lot of laughs.

First up with be “The Hobbit,” which I plan on watching today. My current stomach mood is nauseous so we shall see what will happen!
